Enjoy a picnic lunch on the expansive lawn, and freely spend time on the giant Ferris wheel and exploring the park

About this spot

A large park built on the site of the World Expo, boasting some of the largest grounds in the prefecture. Affectionately known by its nickname Moricoro Park, admission is free and you can spend the entire day at leisure. The spacious lawn is perfect for picnics, and the iconic giant Ferris wheel offers panoramic views of the lush rolling hills. With indoor facilities like the Children's Comprehensive Center, seasonal flower beds, and walking paths around the pond, there are endless ways to enjoy the park—a place where children who love physical activity will have an amazing time.

Tips

Admission is free. Parking is paid; on holidays, the north parking lot fills up quickly, so arriving early is recommended. Some facilities like the Ferris wheel and Children's Comprehensive Center charge separate fees. The park is large, so it helps to decide in advance where you want to go. Ghibli Park is also located within the grounds (separate timed-entry ticket required).

Best time to visit

Allow approximately 2 hours. Mid-afternoon is a pleasant time to spend on the lawn.
