About this spot
An open-air museum within Koganei Park where valuable buildings from the Edo period through the Showa era have been relocated and restored. Exhibits such as old merchant houses, bathhouses, and farmhouses allow both adults and children to experience daily life from that era. Located within the verdant Koganei Park, it's also recommended to take a rest on the wide lawn between building visits. A popular spot in Koganei City, adjacent to Nishi-Tokyo City, and perfect for family history learning.

2026年8月1日(土)開催、東町商栄会が主催する夏祭りです。17時30分から屋台やステージイベントで祭りが盛り上がり、20時30分のフィナーレでは夜空に打ち上げ花火が上がります。地元の商店街が中心となって育んできた地域密着の夏祭りで、公園という近い距離感で花火の迫力を感じられるのが魅力です。祭り全体をたっぷり楽しんでからのクライマックスは、この1日の締めくくりにふさわしいひとときです。

荒天時は中止または内容変更となる場合があるため、当日は主催者の発表を確認しましょう。夜は気温が下がることがあるので羽織ものがあると安心です。終了後は公園周辺が混み合うため、少し余韻を楽しんでからの移動がおすすめです。

About 15 minutes by car from Tanashio Shrine. The grounds are large with lots of walking between buildings, so comfortable shoes are recommended. Don't forget frequent water intake during the hot summer months. Plan to finish up around 4 PM to make it to the fireworks in time.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes required. In the soft afternoon light, the beauty of the buildings is even more striking.
