A castle ruins first built in the early 15th century, registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The curved stone walls built from Ryukyuan limestone showcase the high craftsmanship of ancient Ryukyuan castle (gusuku) architecture. You can climb atop the castle walls and enjoy panoramic views of the lush greenery of Yomitan Village. The expansive grassy grounds are open and perfect for a family stroll.

2026年7月29日(水)開催、残波岬のリゾートで行われる夏休み恒例の打上げ花火です。打ち上げ数は公表されていませんが、15分間にわたって夜空を彩る花火は、周辺の宿泊客や地域の家族連れにも人気のイベントです。南国の木々のシルエットと花火が重なる光景は、沖縄のリゾートエリアならではの雰囲気を感じさせてくれます。夏休みの夜を締めくくるにふさわしい、華やかなひとときです。

Tips

荒天時は中止・順延となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は施設の発表で確認を。周辺は夜間照明が少ない場所もあるため、足元に注意しましょう。終了後は周辺道路が混み合うことがあります。

Tips

It's just a short walk from the parking lot to the ruins. Some areas on the stone walls are uneven, so hold hands with small children. Summer sun is intense, so bring sun protection.
