Viewing the Restored Three-Story Tower Standing on Stone Walls

A symbol of Shirakawa's castle town, where the Shirakawa clan's castle administration was located during the Edo period. The three-story tower restored using traditional wooden construction techniques stands impressively on high stone walls, and its dignified appearance is one of the highlights of exploring the castle town. The grounds, developed as Shiroyama Park, are filled with greenery, and you can feel the weight of history just by walking while looking up at the stone walls up close. Visit and appreciate this place slowly during the day before the fireworks display tonight.

2026年8月2日(日)19時30分開催、白河関まつりを締めくくる花火大会です。復元された小峰城の櫓を望む城山公園から、夜空に約5,500発の花火が次々と打ち上がります。城下町の歴史を感じさせる建物と花火が重なり合う光景は、白河ならではの趣ある眺め。1日かけて城下町を巡った締めくくりにふさわしい、家族みんなで見上げる夏の夜のクライマックスです。

Tips

荒天時は中止や延期の可能性があるため、当日の開催可否は主催者の公式発表で確認を。終了直後は白河駅周辺が大変混雑するため、フィナーレ後は少し余韻を楽しんでから移動するのがおすすめ。足元が暗い箇所もあるのでスマホのライトで安全に。

Tips

About a 5-minute walk from JR Shirakawa Station. The area around the stone walls has uneven footing, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. In summer, the sun is strong, so take frequent water breaks. Travel to the next stop, Nanako Park, by car or bus.
