About this spot
An artificial island that served as Japan's only window to the West during the Edo period's policy of national isolation. Today, the original townscape has been restored, and you can learn about the international exchange history Nagasaki nurtured while viewing merchant houses, warehouses, and residences. Its location within walking distance of Chinatown is convenient for Nagasaki historical sightseeing. The unique atmosphere where East and West meet differs from Chinatown's exotic charm.

2026年8月1日(土)開催、天主公園周辺の平和町商店街を会場にした地域に根付いた夏祭りです。16時のスタートとともに商店街には屋台や露店が立ち並び、盆踊りなど地域の催しでにぎやかな雰囲気に包まれます。打上数の公式発表は確認されていませんが、祭りの終盤には花火が夜空を彩り、5時間にわたる祭りのフィナーレを飾ります。長崎の歴史散策で過ごした昼間とは違う、地域に根付いた夏祭りらしい賑わいを家族で楽しみましょう。
Tips
荒天時は内容が変更・中止になる可能性があるため、当日の開催状況は主催者の発表で確認を。屋台での買い物用に現金を用意しておくと便利です。夜は人出が増えるため、小さな子どもとははぐれないよう手をつないで行動しましょう。
