A townscape designated as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Historic Buildings, with white-walled and red-tiled storehouses lined along the Tamakawa River. Buildings from the Edo and Meiji periods still stand, vividly conveying the atmosphere of a merchant town from that era. Many cafes and souvenir shops utilize the former storehouses, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll with sampling. The contrast between the stone bridge spanning the flowing Tamakawa River and the white walls creates the iconic scenic beauty of Kurayoshi.

2026年8月2日(日)開催、倉吉打吹まつりのフィナーレを飾る飛天花火大会です。倉吉大橋周辺の河川敷を舞台に、約4,000発の花火が夜空を彩ります。白壁土蔵群を有する歴史ある町並みの夏を締めくくる花火として、地元の人々に長く親しまれてきました。開けた河川敷から見上げる花火は、遮るもののない大迫力の眺めです。

Tips

荒天時は中止・順延となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は主催の発表で確認を。終了後は周辺道路が混み合うため、時間差での帰宅がおすすめです。夜は気温が下がることもあるので羽織ものを忘れずに。

Tips

Approximately 15 minutes by bus from JR Kurayoshi Station. With many stone-paved streets, comfortable walking shoes are recommended. In summer, you can walk more comfortably by choosing shaded paths.
