Kotsuura's representative beach, known for round pebbles clashing together with each wave's retreat, creating a refreshing sound. Said to be the origin of the place name 'Koto no Ura,' it is cherished as a natural sound-scape created by nature. It is considered proper etiquette to enjoy the stones at the beach without taking them home, allowing families to experience the unique charm of waves and stones' sounds blending together.

2026年8月2日(日)開催、田越エリアを会場にした琴浦町の夏祭りです。夜空に花火が次々と打ち上がり、日本海に面した静かな海岸ならではの落ち着いた雰囲気の中で楽しめます。打上数の公式発表は確認されていませんが、約20分間という時間の中に凝縮された花火は見応え十分。石の浜や海水浴で過ごした1日の締めくくりに、家族でゆっくり花火を見上げましょう。
Tips
荒天時は中止や延期の可能性があるため、当日の開催可否は主催者の発表で確認を。終了後は周辺道路が混み合うため、少し余韻を楽しんでからの帰路がおすすめです。

The stone beach can be difficult to walk on, so comfortable shoes are recommended over sandals. Please refrain from taking stones away; it is the proper etiquette for this beach.
