At the ruins of Sasayama Castle, built on the orders of Tokugawa Ieyasu in the early Edo period, the moats and stone walls still retain their historical appearance. The Daishoin within the castle grounds is a restored version of the palatial architecture once used for official clan events, and you can sense the elegance of the castle town from its tatami-matted spacious halls and decorative transom designs. On the evening of the fireworks festival, the site serves as the main venue itself, allowing you to enjoy a different atmosphere—the quiet, peaceful castle ruins during the daytime, contrasting with the evening's bustle.

2026年8月15日(土)〜16日(日)にわたって開催される丹波篠山デカンショ祭の締めくくりを飾る花火です。20時15分から20時30分までの短い時間に、約1,000発の花火が城跡の夜空に凝縮して打ち上がります。城下町を練り歩いたデカンショ踊りの熱気が最高潮に達したところで迎える花火は、夏祭りのフィナーレにふさわしい迫力です。歴史ある城跡を舞台にした特別な夜を、家族で見届けましょう。

Tips

荒天時は中止となる場合があるため、当日は丹波篠山市の公式発表を確認しましょう。花火の時間が短いため、開始10分前には見やすい場所についておくのがおすすめです。終了後は帰路が大変混雑します。

Tips

An entrance fee is required for the Daishoin. The castle grounds have walking paths along the moats and stone walls, and in summer, choosing tree-shaded routes provides a cooler experience. Multiple parking lots are available in the surrounding area.
