At approximately 1.8 meters tall, this is a unique stone statue said to be Japan's smallest Great Buddha. According to local tradition, it was built during the Edo period to bring peace and prosperity to the region, and remains so beloved by Kamagaya residents that it has become the origin of the station name and place name. Despite its compact size, its distinctive character is popular as a photogenic spot.

荒天時は中止または延期となる場合があるため、当日は鎌ケ谷市の公式発表で確認を。終了後は周辺道路と駅が大変混雑するため、少し余韻を楽しんでから移動するのがおすすめです。

Tips

About 5 minutes on foot from Kamagaya Daibutsu Station on the Shin-Keisei Line. The grounds are small, so you can complete your visit in a short time. Since the surrounding area is a residential neighborhood, please observe quietly while visiting.
