About this spot
A street extending from Yufuin Station toward Kinrin Lake that serves as the center of Yufuin sightseeing. Sweets shops, croquettes and other street food, and souvenir shops dealing in local crafts are packed along the street, and simply walking down it fills you with travel spirit. Many buildings have a charming wooden construction, and the entire street exudes the laid-back atmosphere of a hot spring town. On the day of the fireworks festival, it becomes even more crowded from evening onward, so it's recommended to enjoy it during the daytime.

2026年8月15日(土)開催、宮川河畔を会場にした第41回ゆふいん盆地花火のクライマックスです。由布岳をはじめとする山々に囲まれた盆地という地形のため、打ち上げの音が山肌に反響し、体に響くような迫力を感じられるのがこの大会ならではの魅力。温泉街の夜景と花火が重なり合う、由布院らしい情緒あふれる光景も見どころです。夏の夜、盆地に響く音と光を家族でじっくり味わえる特別な時間です。

荒天時は中止や延期の可能性があるため、当日は由布市の公式発表を確認しましょう。終了後は駅や道路が混み合うため、少し時間を置いてから帰路につくのがおすすめです。夜は足元が暗いので懐中電灯やスマホのライトを準備しておくと安心です。
