Inside the food court, you can also enjoy meals made with fresh seafood, perfect for a meal during your travels. It is also known as one of the symbols of recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake, and it's a place where you can feel the vitality of the community. 2026年8月15日(土)開催、鳥の海公園周辺を会場にしたわたりふるさと夏まつりのクライマックスです。約5,000発の花火が海辺の夜空いっぱいに打ち上がり、震災からの歩みを重ねてきた亘理の夏を彩ります。海辺の開放的な立地からは花火をさえぎるものが少なく、家族みんなでゆったり観覧できるのが魅力です。潮風とともに味わう花火は、地域の元気を感じられる特別な夜になります。

Tips

荒天時は中止や延期の可能性があるため、当日は亘理町の公式発表を確認しましょう。終了後は道路が大変混み合うため、少し時間を置いてから帰路につくのがおすすめです。海辺は足元が暗いので懐中電灯やスマホのライトを準備しておくと安心です。

Tips

Just a short drive from Watari Interchange (常磐自動車道亘理インターチェンジ) on the Joban Expressway. On the evening of the fireworks festival, it can get crowded, so it's recommended to stop by during lunch hours. While strawberry season is primarily in spring, summer also offers processed products and other items to enjoy.
