At this medieval castle site, traces of moats and earthen walls remain on the hillsides and have been developed into a historical park. From the verdant plateau, you can take in sweeping views of Uto's townscape and learn about the region's history while strolling. Even under the summer sun, walking among the trees keeps you cool, and the scale is just right for a family walk.

2026年8月23日(日)開催、うと地蔵まつりの締めくくりとなる花火大会です。宇土市善道寺町田園一帯から打ち上がる約1,500発の花火は、遮るものの少ない田園風景の中で大きく夜空に広がります。地蔵まつりとして地域に古くから伝わるこの行事は、宇土市の夏を締めくくる恒例行事として親しまれてきました。田んぼを渡る夜風とともに、家族で素朴な花火の時間を楽しみましょう。
Tips
荒天時は中止や延期になる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は市の公式発表で確認を。終了後は周辺道路が混み合うため、フィナーレの余韻を楽しんでから時間差での移動がおすすめです。田園地帯は街灯が少ないので懐中電灯を用意しておくと安心です。

You can drive from the center of Uto City. Admission is free. The park has some elevation changes, so wear comfortable walking shoes. You will drive to Todoro Water Source next.
Best time to visit
Plan for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. The cooler hours from late morning through early afternoon are ideal for strolling
