About this spot

An ancient shrine that once thrived as a center of Hakusan faith, housing many warrior monks. The entire grounds are covered with beautiful moss so striking that the shrine is also known as the "Moss Temple." Walking along the path lined with towering cedar trees creates a surreal sensation of walking on a green carpet, and even in summer you're enveloped in cool air. Traces of archaeological excavations remain, revealing the weight of history in the quietude.

九頭竜川のほとり、勝山橋のそばに広がる弁天緑地公園を会場に開かれる、地域に根づいた夏の風物詩です。恐竜のまちとして知られる勝山の夜空に、色とりどりの花火が次々と打ち上がります。山あいの盆地に位置する勝山ならではの、澄んだ夜空に映える花火の美しさが魅力です。1日かけて恐竜と歴史散策を楽しんだ締めくくりに、家族で夜空を見上げましょう。

Tips

荒天時は中止となる場合があるため、当日は勝山市の公式発表で確認を。会場周辺の駐車場は台数が限られるため、早めの到着がおすすめです。終了後は周辺道路が混み合うため、しばらく余韻を楽しんでからの帰宅がスムーズです。

Tips

Approximately 15 minutes by car from the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum. The path is natural ground, so wear comfortable shoes. Walk only on designated routes to avoid damaging the moss. Michi no Eki Dinosaur Gorge Katsuyama is about 10 minutes away by car.
