Ancient Shrine of Bond and Fate Known as 'Moto Izumo'
About this spot
Known as 'Moto Izumo' (original Izumo) due to legends suggesting it predates the Izumo Taisha in Shimane, this ancient shrine is cherished as a deity of fate and bonds. Surrounded by the lush greenery of Mikageyama, the sacred mountain, the shrine grounds exude purity and serenity. The shrine is also known for the 'Manai Spring' (真名井の水), a pristine natural spring water. Despite excellent access from the city, the shrine's mountain-encircled location offers a refreshingly tranquil atmosphere, perfect for starting your day with a calm spirit.
