Affectionately known as the "Red Brick Office," this solid brick structure was built in the Meiji period. Exhibits inside tell the story of Hokkaido's pioneer history, and both the building and its front courtyard are popular photo spots and walking destinations. Just a short walk from the clock tower, it's an unmissable part of a historical walk through central Sapporo.

札幌の夏を締めくくる恒例行事「北海盆踊り」の会場です。2026年は8月13日から16日までの4日間、大通公園を舞台に太鼓のリズムに合わせて盆踊りが繰り広げられます。地元の人はもちろん観光客も一緒になって輪に加わることができ、都心の公園が夏祭りの熱気に包まれるのが毎年の光景です。歴史散策や動物園、市場めぐりで過ごした1日の締めくくりに、家族で踊りの輪に加わってみましょう。

Tips

会場周辺は夕方以降、多くの人でにぎわうため、ベビーカーでの移動は通路の広い場所を選びましょう。飲食物の販売がある場合は小銭を用意しておくと安心です。夜は気温が下がることがあるので羽織ものがあると快適です。
