Tips

About a 10–15 minute walk through Maruyama Park, or about 15 minutes on foot from Maruyama-koen Station on the Tozai Subway Line. Admission is free for junior high school students and under, and stroller rentals are available—thoughtfully designed for families with young children. Note that the zoo has closures on certain days (such as the second and fourth Wednesdays), so check the official website in advance. Eating lunch at the zoo's dining hall or rest areas is efficient.
