長瀞岩畳周辺の荒川を会場に、2026年8月15日17時10分から20時45分まで開催される、水難者供養と川の安全を祈願する伝統行事です。日が暮れるとともに川面に無数の灯籠が流され、暗闇の中に浮かび上がる灯りの帯は、荒川と山々に囲まれた長瀞ならではの幻想的な光景をつくり出します。地元で長く受け継がれてきた祭りで、静かに祈りを捧げる時間と、川辺の涼やかな夏の夜の空気を同時に味わえます。
Tips
川沿いは夜になると足元が見えにくくなるため、懐中電灯やスマートフォンのライトがあると安心です。夜は気温が下がることがあるので、薄手の羽織ものを準備しておきましょう。混雑が予想されるため、子どもと手をつないで移動しましょう。

Much of the shrine grounds are paved, making it accessible with a stroller. The cable car station is within walking distance.
Best time to visit
About 50 minutes. Early afternoon offers a relatively calm atmosphere for worship.
