A vast park loved by citizens, developed around Osaka Castle built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi. The castle tower surrounded by massive stone walls and moats is one of Osaka's symbols, and the park features shaded walking paths and grassy lawns that are ideal for cooling off during midsummer sightseeing. It's a good size to visit in the morning before heading to Kitamido.

本町のオフィス街に建つ本願寺津村別院、通称「北御堂」の境内で、2026年8月19日(水)・20日(木)の2日間にわたって開催される盆おどりです。会場には出店が並び、日中はビジネスパーソンが行き交う本町の街が、夜になると提灯の灯る夏祭りの賑わいに一変します。周辺住民や勤め帰りの人々が気軽に立ち寄れる、都心ならではの盆おどりとして親しまれています。

Tips

御堂筋沿いにあり、地下鉄本町駅からすぐです。境内は日陰が少ないため、夕方でも暑さ対策を。周辺道路が混雑することがあるため、公共交通機関の利用がおすすめです。
