You can feed them deer crackers or enjoy a leisurely walk while gazing at Kofuku-ji's beautiful five-story pagoda. It's an area packed with quintessential Nara experiences. The spacious lawns and abundant shade make it relatively comfortable even during intense summer heat.

JR奈良駅前広場と三条通り一帯を舞台に、2026年8月29日(土)・30日(日)の2日間にわたって開催される創作舞踊の祭典です。太鼓の力強いリズムに合わせて、地域や学校のチームが趣向を凝らした衣装と振り付けで踊りを披露し、古都・奈良の落ち着いた街並みが一気に華やかな熱気に包まれます。寺社めぐりとはひと味違う、現代的で活気あふれる奈良の夏の一面を楽しめる祭りです。
Tips
JR奈良駅からすぐの立地で、公共交通機関の利用が便利です。会場周辺は混雑するため、ベビーカーでの移動には注意が必要です。夜は気温が下がるので薄手の羽織ものがあると安心です。
Tips
Within walking distance from Todai-ji Temple. When feeding deer crackers, remain calm and take your time. Deer crackers are sold at shops throughout the park.
Best time to visit
Approximately 45 minutes. Late morning and early afternoon are when the deer are most active.
