About this spot
A unique tourism facility spread across a forest on the outskirts of Shiraishi City where dozens of foxes roam freely. You can freely walk around and observe the foxes up close, and comparing their diverse coat colors and expressions is part of the fun. Hands-on experiences like petting and feeding are also available, allowing you to feel nature's abundance through interaction with animals. Known nationwide as one of Miyagi's signature family destinations.

白石駅前通りを会場に毎年開かれる、地域を挙げての夏まつりです。通りには多くの屋台が軒を連ね、金魚すくいやわたあめといった縁日ならではの出店が祭りの雰囲気を盛り上げます。片倉家の城下町として栄えた白石らしく、駅前通りには老舗の店も並び、昼間に歩いた城下町の歴史と夜の賑やかな祭りの対比が楽しめます。地元の子どもから大人まで幅広い世代が集まる、白石の夏を象徴する催しです。
Tips
駅前通りは祭り期間中歩行者天国になることが多く、ベビーカーでも歩きやすい環境です。屋台は早い時間から混み合うことがあるため、小腹が空いたら早めに立ち寄りましょう。夜は駅周辺の交通規制に注意してください。
