Historic castle from the Sengoku period with sweeping views of Ogaki's townscape
About this spot
This castle has a rich history, including being the site of a preliminary battle before the Battle of Sekigahara. The castle tower is open to the public as a museum. From the tower, you can view both the townscape of Ogaki and the network of waterways that earned the city its nickname 'City of Water.' The castle grounds are maintained as a park with many shaded areas, making it a pleasant place for walking. The festival venue of Ogaki Station Street and Honmachi Street is nearby, making this a fitting starting point for your Ogaki day.
