Panoramic views of the Nagara River from the ropeway to the castle perched atop Kinkazan
About this spot
This castle stands atop Kinkazan Mountain, where Oda Nobunaga established his base for unifying Japan. The ropeway makes it easy to reach the summit, from where the castle tower offers sweeping views of the Nagara River and Gifu cityscape. On clear days, you can see distant mountain ranges. At the mountain's base lies Gifu Park, making this one of Gifu's most representative tourist spots where you can enjoy both historical exploration and natural beauty.
