世界遺産の島・宮島で毎年夏に催される盆踊りの夕べです。嚴島神社の参道から大聖院浜にかけての一帯に提灯が灯され、地元の人々や観光客が一緒になって輪を作って踊ります。昼間は多くの参拝客で賑わう参道も、夜になると太鼓の音とゆったりとした盆踊りの調べに包まれ、普段とは違う静かで幻想的な表情を見せます。海沿いの涼しい風を感じながら踊る夏の夜は、宮島ならではの特別なひとときです。

Round-trip tickets offer good value. Momiji Valley Station is about 20 minutes on foot from Itsukushima Shrine. From Shishi Rock Station to Mt. Misen's observation deck takes another 30 minutes, so plan your time accordingly.
