A museum tracing the history of Anjo City, which developed as an agricultural pioneer region through the Meiji Canal project. Exhibits showcase the progress of modern agriculture so advanced the region was called 'Japan's Denmark', as well as materials related to local festivals and customs, helping visitors understand how this region developed into its present form. The air-conditioned interior is an ideal rest spot to escape the summer heat while learning.

JR安城駅を中心とした市街地一帯で毎年夏に開かれる安城七夕まつりは、東海地方でも有数の規模を誇る七夕まつりのひとつです。2026年は8月7日(金)から9日(日)までの開催で、その初日を訪れます。商店街の頭上には無数の七夕飾りが吊るされ、通りの両側には食べ歩きの屋台やゲームの露店が並びます。安城が誇る花と緑、そして農業の歴史を昼に感じた後は、夜は色とりどりの飾りの下で家族と食べ歩きを楽しみながら、駅前らしいにぎやかな夏祭りを満喫しましょう。
Tips
祭り期間中は歩行者天国になり大変混雑するため、ベビーカーでの移動はゆとりを持って計画しましょう。屋台は現金での支払いが基本のため、小銭を多めに用意しておくと安心です。駅周辺の駐車場は早い時間から満車になりやすいため、公共交通機関の利用がおすすめです。
Tips
Beyond permanent exhibits, special exhibitions may be held, so checking in advance is helpful. The interior is not overly large but offers plenty to see in a short time. Browsing the museum shop for items related to the region is also enjoyable.
