リゾートタウンとして人気の北谷町で毎年夏に開催される、地域の青年会によるエイサー演舞の祭典です。2026年は8月9日に開催予定。桑江総合運動場を会場に、太鼓の力強い響きとパーランクー(手持ち太鼓)の音、掛け声とともに、各青年会が趣向を凝らした衣装と振り付けで演舞を披露します。米軍基地の街として発展してきた北谷ならではの、伝統文化と国際色が交わる独特の雰囲気を楽しめる祭りです。
Tips
会場周辺は夏休み期間の観光客も多く、駐車場が混み合うことがあります。公共交通機関やアメリカンビレッジの駐車場からの徒歩移動も検討しましょう。夜でも蒸し暑さが残るため、水分補給を忘れずに。
Tips
While there are multiple parking lots, they can get crowded during summer vacation. Arriving in early afternoon is recommended. Indoor shops and boutiques are air-conditioned and good for escaping the daytime heat.
