Long revered as the tutelary shrine of Hino Town, this sanctuary is also famous for the lavish Hino Festival with its ornate festival floats, held each May. The verdant grounds are enveloped in calm, fostering a sense of the deep faith woven into the community's everyday life. Exhibits relating to the Hino Festival are sometimes displayed within the grounds, making this shrine an ideal introduction to Hino Town's history.

日野町に古くから伝わる、麻がらでつくった松明に火をつけて振り回す勇壮な伝統行事です。2026年は8月14日・15日の2日間、19時30分から21時にかけて開催予定。夜の境内で炎を振り回すたびに、火の輪が幾重にも夜空に描かれる光景は、里山の集落に受け継がれてきた素朴で力強い火の祭りならではの迫力です。無病息災や五穀豊穣を願う人々の想いが込められた、地域の結束を感じられる夜となります。

会場周辺は駐車スペースが限られるため、早めの到着が安心です。火の粉が飛ぶことがあるため、化学繊維の服は避け、綿素材の服装がおすすめです。夜間の移動には懐中電灯があると安心です。
