A Beautiful Former Castle Residence with White-Gleaming Namako-kabe Fortress Walls

A park adjacent to Kenroku-en Garden, built on the former castle grounds of the Maeda clan, rulers of Kaga's million-stone domain. The white-gleaming namako-kabe fortress walls and castle gates have been reconstructed, allowing you to view majestic castle architecture up close. The spacious grounds feature remains of stone walls and moats, where you can ponder the history of the Kaga clan. Walking this area along with Kenroku-en Garden provides a more three-dimensional understanding of how the castle town of Kanazawa developed.

金沢に隣接する野々市市の中心部、本町通り一帯を会場に開かれる地域の夏まつりです。2026年は8月1日・2日の2日間の開催で、コースの対象日はその初日にあたります。地域に伝わる郷土芸能「じょんから踊り」を中心に、通りには次第に大きな踊りの輪が広がっていき、観客として見物するだけでなく、誰でも輪に加わって一緒に踊れるのがこのまつりの魅力です。商店街全体が提灯の明かりに包まれ、地元の人々と旅行者が入り混じって夜通し盛り上がる、地域密着型のあたたかな夏祭りです。

Tips

まつり当日は本町通り周辺が交通規制となり、駐車場も混み合います。踊りの輪に加わりたい場合は、周囲の動きを見ながら気軽に参加してみましょう。
