One of Japan's Three Most Famous Pine Forests: Experience the Sea Breeze at the White Sand and Blue Pine Beach
About this spot
Counted among Japan's three most famous pine forests alongside Miho no Matsubara in Shizuoka and Niji no Matsubara in Saga, this is Tsuruga's most celebrated scenic spot. Approximately 17,000 black pine trees spread along the coastline, creating a beautiful contrast with the white sand. Walking through the pine grove allows you to enjoy both comfortable shade and the pleasant sea breeze simultaneously. Even in September after the height of summer, a refreshing walk awaits. This is also an ideal time for families to enjoy a relaxed visit as the swimming season winds down.
