A park developed on the former site of Nakamura Castle, which served as the residence of the Soma Nakamura clan for many generations. While the main tower no longer stands, the stone walls, earthen fortifications, and portions of the moat remain, allowing visitors to feel Soma's history as a flourishing castle town. The park is also known as a cherry-blossom viewing spot and offers pleasant woodland paths. It is the site where the departure ceremony for the Soma Nomao festival takes place, deeply connecting to the region's heritage.

相馬市民会館の駐車場を活用した「市民のひろば」を会場に、2026年8月13日(木)に開かれる地域の盆踊り大会です。会場中央にやぐらが組まれ、太鼓のリズムに合わせて盆踊りの輪が広がるほか、周辺には屋台も並び、地元の家族連れでにぎわいます。相馬野馬追で知られる歴史ある土地柄らしく、地域の絆を感じられる素朴で温かい雰囲気の祭りです。日中に城跡や松川浦をめぐった1日の締めくくりに、地元の夏らしいひとときを味わいましょう。

Tips

駐車場は会場と兼用になるため、早めの到着がおすすめです。踊りの輪は誰でも自由に参加できます。夜は虫よけがあると快適に過ごせます。
