Walk through the famous castle ruins of the Sanada clan during the cool morning hours
About this spot
This park preserves the remains of Ueda Castle built by Sanada Masayuki, known as an 'impregnable fortress' that repelled Tokugawa forces twice. The south, north, and west turrets remain in the park, and you can imagine the sturdy defenses of the era through the stone walls and moat ruins. While it's also known as a famous cherry blossom spot in spring, walking through the tree-lined park during the cool morning hours is also a pleasant experience.
