About this spot
Created as the villa of businessman Fujita Kenichi, this rare garden combines a Western-style mansion on elevated terrain with a traditional strolling pond garden spread below the cliffs. Walking through tree-lined paths lets you escape the castle town's bustle, and you can rest at the mansion's café. Located just south of Hirosaki Park, it's perfect for a break while exploring the castle.

2026年は8月1日から7日まで、土手町コースと駅前コースで交互に開催される弘前の夏の風物詩です。初日の8月1日は土手町コースが舞台となり、武者絵などが描かれた扇形の「扇ねぷた」と、精巧な人形を組んだ「組ねぷた」が次々と登場します。笛・太鼓・手振り鉦のお囃子に合わせて「ヤーヤドー」の掛け声が響き渡り、灯りをともした山車が夜の城下町をゆっくりと練り歩く様子は圧巻です。青森ねぶたとはひと味違う、津軽ならではの勇壮さと繊細さを併せ持つ祭りをじっくり楽しめます。
Tips
土手町コース沿いは開始前から場所取りが始まります。良い場所で見たい場合は16時台から沿道に着いておくと安心です。ベビーカーの場合は後方や交差点付近が見やすくおすすめです。荒天時の開催可否は公式情報で確認しましょう。
Tips
About 5 minutes walk from Hirosaki Park's south entrance. Wear comfortable shoes as the garden has elevation changes. Summer offers abundant shade and cool comfort.

Plan for about 45 minutes. Afternoon light beautifully illuminates the garden's greenery.
