2026年は8月14日から15日まで開催される、下田八幡神社を中心とした港町・下田の夏祭りです。市内各町内の太鼓連が趣向を凝らした演奏を披露し、力強い太鼓の音が海に面した街並みに響き渡ります。黒船来航の歴史を持つ港町らしく、開放的な雰囲気の中で行われる太鼓の競演は、伊豆の夏を締めくくる勇壮なひとときです。
Tips
神社周辺は開始前から見物客で賑わいます。良い場所で見たい場合は16時台には到着しておくと安心です。小さな子どもは太鼓の音の大きさに驚くことがあるので、様子を見ながら観覧しましょう。

Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. The popular dolphin show is easier to get seats for if you aim for earlier performances.
