A nationally designated Important Traditional Building Conservation District where white-walled warehouses with red-tiled roofs line the Tamagawa River. This townscape preserves the appearance of Kurayoshi from its prosperous commercial period during the Edo and Meiji eras. Small stone bridges crossing the river and willow trees add to the picturesque atmosphere. Cafes and craft shops utilizing the historic warehouses are scattered throughout, offering pleasant rest stops during your walk. Even in summer, the sound of water flowing through the channels creates a refreshing and relaxing atmosphere.

2026年の倉吉打吹まつりは8月1日(土)・2日(日)の2日間、倉吉銀座通り周辺と倉吉大橋周辺の河川敷「飛天夢広場」を会場に開催されます。会場には多くの夜店が並び、太鼓の演舞やステージイベント、花火などで盛り上がる倉吉の夏の風物詩です。白壁土蔵群の町並みを背景に灯る提灯や夜店の明かりは、昼間とは違った幻想的な雰囲気を演出します。家族で夜店をひやかしながら過ごす時間は、倉吉の夏を締めくくるのにふさわしいひとときです。

会場周辺は当日交通規制がかかることがあるため、公共交通機関の利用が安心です。河川敷は夜になると虫が多くなるので虫よけを。荒天時の開催可否は主催者の発表を確認しましょう。
