2026年の米子がいな祭は8月7日(金)から9日(日)までの3日間、米子市街地と米子港を中心に開催されます。祭りの名の由来にもなった「がいな(大きい・立派なという意味の方言)」にふさわしく、伝統の「がいな太鼓」の勇壮な演奏や、地域団体によるパレード、催しが会場を盛り上げます。中海に面した港町ならではの開放的な雰囲気の中、夜には花火が上がることもあり、米子の夏を締めくくるにふさわしい熱気に包まれます。

会場周辺は当日交通規制がかかるため、公共交通機関の利用が安心です。港周辺は夜になると涼しい風が吹くことがあるので、薄手の羽織ものがあると快適です。荒天時の開催可否は主催者の発表を確認しましょう。
