Water and Greenery Hall Observation Tower

About this spot

This tall observation tower is the symbol of Kiso Sansen Park Center. Looking down from above, you can clearly see the Kiso, Nagara and Ibi rivers flowing side by side and the shapes of the embankments that divide them. Hunting for Chisui Shrine and the Senbon Matsubara pine grove you walked past in the morning is part of the fun. On clear days the view reaches distant mountain ranges, and the scale of the rivers registers far more than it does on a map. The building housing the tower has a shop and rest space, so it doubles as a lunch spot.

海津市の国営木曽三川公園にある無料の水遊び場「国営木曽三川公園木曽三川公園センター水遊び場」です。2026年は7月18日(土)から8月31日(月)まで、開園時間中の9:30から18:00に利用できます。大花壇のそばに自然石を配した浅いじゃぶじゃぶ池と小さな滝があり、水深が浅いのでまだ泳げない子でも自分の足で歩きながら遊べます。期間中は水遊びのおもちゃの貸出があるため、荷物を増やさずに出かけられるのもうれしいところ。すぐそばに大型遊具と芝生広場があるので、水にあきたら遊具、疲れたら芝生で休憩と、体力に合わせて過ごし方を変えられます。入園も駐車場も無料なので、午前の見学と組み合わせても1日の出費を抑えられます。

Tips

雨天は中止です。当日の実施は公式サイトや現地の案内で確認してください。自然石で足を切ることがあるので、水遊び用サンダルやマリンシューズを必ず用意しましょう。更衣室は想定せず、水着を服の下に着てから出かけると着替えがスムーズです。日陰が限られるためレジャーシートと帽子、多めの飲み物を。開園時間の終了は18:00ですが、混雑や日差しを考えると16時半ごろの切り上げが子連れには無理のないペースです。

Tips

There is a fee to use the observation tower. Check the price and opening hours on the official website in advance. The building has a shop and eating space, but some hours get crowded, so having a backup plan of bringing a packed lunch to eat on the lawn is reassuring. An elevator goes to the top, so strollers are no problem.
