Ishigaki Island: Kabira Bay and the Limestone Cave — Emerald Seas and Island Time

This is a classic course covering the best of Okinawa's Ishigaki Island in a single day. Start your morning at Kabira Bay (川平湾), the island's leading scenic spot. Peer down at coral reefs and tropical fish from the bottom of a glass-bottom boat, and marvel at the sea of seven colors, its hues shifting moment by moment with the light. After walking the jungle path through the grove of Yaeyama palms, found growing wild nowhere else in the world, have lunch at Euglena Mall (ユーグレナモール), Japan's southernmost arcade, enjoying Yaeyama soba and snacking your way through island souvenirs. In the afternoon, visit the Ishigaki Island Limestone Cave (石垣島鍾乳洞), formed from coral reefs, for a different world underground lit up with illumination. Finish at the observation deck on Mt. Banna (バンナ岳), taking in a sweeping view of the sea, glowing emerald as its name suggests, all the way to Taketomi Island (竹富島).
