2026 Takino Suzuran Hillside National Government Park Water Play Area: A Full Day to Enjoy

This course spends a whole day inside the park, starring the Takino Suzuran Hillside National Government Park water play area 「Forest Stream」 in Minami-ku, Sapporo. The water play area opened on Friday, June 12, 2026, and the closing date has not been announced. Forest Stream is a shallow man-made water play area, and spots for river play such as the Atsubetsu River flowing through the park are opened alongside it. Toilets, parking and a cooking area are all in place, so changing clothes and arranging meals are easy, which is the reassurance only a large park can offer. In the morning, head to Children's Valley. It has play equipment that uses the whole body, such as the big air-filled dome called the Fuwafuwa Egg and the Rainbow Nest Dome you climb over nets. After lunch, visit Ashiribetsu Falls, the park's greatest highlight. The air in front of the tall falls is chilly, so you can feel cool even in summer. In the afternoon, play in the water at Forest Stream. Surrounded by trees, the shallow flow lets you lose track of time. Park admission is required, and it is free for junior high school students and younger.
