Flow of the course

About this spot

A shrine nestled in a deep grove at one corner of Odawara Castle grounds. The deity enshrined here is Kinjiro Ninomiya (Tokuoku), a local hero known for the image of reading while carrying firewood on his back. It is known for blessings of academic achievement, and a bronze statue of Kinjiro stands within the grounds. After your visit, rest at the adjacent café's terrace while enjoying views of the greenery.

Tips

The grounds have plenty of pea gravel, so proceed slowly with a stroller. Cute children's charms with charming designs make perfect travel souvenirs.

Best time to visit
