A historic beach named after an occasion when Emperor Meiji and Empress observed fishing activities. This coastline is within walking distance of Odawara Castle, and on fine days, you can see all the way to the Izu and Miura peninsulas. The beach of sand and pebbles is a treasure trove for shell collecting, and a stroll listening to the waves is perfect for digesting your seafood lunch.
Tips
Waves can be strong some days, so wade only to foot level in the water. Bring a change of clothes, a towel, and a bag for collecting shells for peace of mind.
