A Rare Nationwide Shrine with Two Side-by-Side Torii Gates—A Power Spot for Love and Marriage

About this spot

Enshrined in the Neoki settlement, this shrine is known nationwide for the "side-by-side torii gates" (並立鳥居)—two torii gates standing perfectly close together at the entrance of the approach path. Inspired by the harmonious side-by-side stance of the twin gates, the shrine is believed to grant blessings for good matches and marital harmony, drawing visitors seeking love and good fortune to this power spot. Part of the fun is deciding which of the two gates to pass through when paying your respects. The tranquil grounds, enveloped in greenery, provide a moment of peaceful reflection after the excitement of the waterfall view. It lies conveniently along the route from Ogawa Falls to Sata Cape, making it a perfect stop to pray for travel safety and good fortune in love.

Tips

The parking area is small, so please be considerate when parking. The side-by-side torii gates look best when viewed from directly in front, so snap a photo from the front before passing through. The grounds are densely vegetated, so bring insect repellent during insect season.

Best time to visit

Total time: about 30 minutes. Mid-morning when dappled sunlight filters onto the approach path is most pleasant
