Held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, this is a summer tradition of Shonan. The main attraction is the signature "Water Peacock" (Suichuu Kujaku)—fireworks launched into the sea that bloom fan-shaped just above the water's surface. The sight of light spreading like a peacock unfurling its feathers, reflected in the waves, is a beauty unique to a seaside festival. Enjoy the collaboration of fireworks and the silhouette of Eboshi Rock together with the sound of waves from the sandy beach, and your Shonan summer memory will be complete.

Tips

Check Chigasaki City and the official festival announcement for confirmation of holding in case of bad weather. Immediately after the show, the path to Chigasaki Station and the station interior become extremely crowded. You may choose to linger on the beach a while longer to savor the afterglow, or take a dispersing route toward Tsujido Station (辻堂駅) instead.
