A shopping and dining facility located in the Karato district facing the Kanmon Strait. The first floor houses shops selling local seafood and souvenirs, while the second-floor deck allows you to leisurely enjoy views of the Kanmon Bridge and strait. The outdoor deck has good ventilation and is ideal for resting while watching ships passing through the strait. On the day of the fireworks festival, it's convenient for shopping for fugu merchandise and strait souvenirs unique to Shimonoseki from afternoon to evening. Since this location also serves as one of the fireworks viewing venues at night, confirming the terrain and traffic flow during daytime will help your evening activities run smoothly.

2026年8月13日(木)19時35分から20時50分まで開催される関門海峡花火大会は、山口県下関市と福岡県北九州市の両岸から同時に打ち上がる約18,000発が最大の見どころです。幅わずか約700mの関門海峡を挟んで両岸から花火が競い合うように上がり、頭上を覆い尽くす光の量と、海峡両岸の山に反響して体に響く打上音は、日本でもここでしか体験できない迫力があります。海峡の広い水面に映る逆さ花火と、対岸の北九州側の花火が重なり合う瞬間は特に息をのむ美しさ。下関側の観覧エリアである岬之町埠頭・あるかぽーと・カモンワーフ・唐戸市場前はいずれも海峡に面した特等席で、海の香りと波音とともに1時間15分の花火を楽しめます。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は大会公式の発表および下関市の情報を事前に確認してください。終了後は下関駅・唐戸エリアのバスが大混雑するため、フィナーレ後は少し時間をおいてから移動するのが得策です。周辺の交通規制情報も事前にチェックしておきましょう。足元が暗いので帰りはスマホのライトを活用して安全に。

Tips

A 1-2 minute walk from Karato Bus Stop or Karato Ferry Terminal. Parking available. On the evening of the fireworks festival day, surrounding roads may be subject to traffic restrictions, so using public transportation is recommended. Operating hours vary by establishment, so shop early.
