A historic temple said to have been founded by the monk Gyoki in the Nara period, along with the construction of the adjacent Kumeta Lake. The spacious grounds are lined with the main hall and other structures, creating a calm atmosphere filled with centuries of history. Just beyond is Kumeta Lake, where tonight's fireworks will be launched. Seeing its vastness during the day will build anticipation for the night's display. Take your time strolling through the quiet grounds to ease into your day.
Tips
About 15 minutes walk from Nankai Main Line Kumetata Station. Temple grounds viewing is generally free. As summers are sunny, drink plenty of water and take your time.

About 1 hour. Morning to midday offers relatively quiet viewing conditions.
