A striking castle featuring a wooden reconstructed tower built at the riverside of the Hijikawa. The original tower from the Edo period was dismantled during the Meiji period and faithfully reconstructed as a wooden structure based on historical records. You can experience the era through the tower's wooden architecture, including the fragrant cedar wood and steep staircase. From the top floor, you can overlook the Hijikawa River and the castle town known as the "Little Kyoto of Iyo," providing a panoramic view of Ōzu's streetscapes you'll explore later.

2026年8月1日(土)20時から、肱川の河口に広がる長浜港湾緑地で開催されるながはま赤橋夏まつりの花火大会です。約1,800発の花火が赤い可動橋と川面を彩り、港町ならではの穏やかな水辺の景色とともに楽しめます。大洲城や臥龍山荘で伊予の小京都の魅力にふれたあとのフィナーレとして、家族で夜空を見上げる特別な30分間になるはずです。

Tips

荒天時は中止となる場合があるため、当日の実施状況は大洲市の公式発表で確認しましょう。会場周辺は夕方から混み合うため、早めの場所取りがおすすめです。終了後は橋周辺の道路が混雑するため、時間差での帰宅が安心です。

Tips

Located in central Ōzu with ample parking. The tower has steep stairs, so families with small children should use the handrails and ascend slowly. During summer, bring water to stay hydrated in the heat.
