About this spot
A wooden station building constructed during the Taisho era, cherished as a valuable piece of architecture that retains much of its original character. It remains in active use as a railway station today, allowing visitors to spend time tracing Yokogawa's history in its retro atmosphere. Located near the fireworks venue at night, it's an ideal starting point for this full-day course.

霧島市横川町の夏を締めくくる、よこがわ夏まつりの花火大会です。大隅横川駅付近の夜空に約1,000発の花火が次々と打ち上がり、駅前商店街のにぎわいとともに地域全体が夏祭りのムードに包まれます。地元の人々が中心となって続けてきたお祭りならではの、温かく懐かしい雰囲気に包まれる夜です。
Tips
荒天時は中止や順延の可能性があるため、当日は霧島市や祭りの公式発表を確認しましょう。会場周辺は夕方以降混み合うため、早めの場所取りがおすすめです。終了後は周辺道路が混み合うため、時間差での帰宅も検討しましょう。
