An ancient temple adjacent to Serate Toshogu Shrine, said to have been founded during the Kamakura period by Nitta Yoshishige, the founder of the Nitta clan. Together with Toshogu, it's considered one of the historical sites forming "the birthplace of the Tokugawa clan." Historic structures like the drum gate and Three Buddha Hall remain well-preserved. The grounds feature abundant greenery, allowing for a pleasant stroll even in summer heat.

太田市尾島地区が旧尾島町時代に姉妹都市を結んだ青森県弘前市との交流をきっかけに始まった、県内でも珍しいねぷたまつりです。2026年は8月14日・15日の2日間、尾島商店街大通りを舞台に開催され、武者絵が描かれた高さ数メートルの扇型・組灯籠型のねぷたが「ヤーヤードー」の勇壮な掛け声とともに練り歩きます。太鼓や笛のお囃子が通りに響き渡り、灯籠に灯る光と絵柄の迫力は、見る人を圧倒するスケール感です。尾島商店街大通り沿いには屋台も出店し、食べ歩きをしながらねぷたの巡行を楽しめるのもこの祭りの魅力です。

屋台は尾島商店街大通り沿いに出店します。ねぷたの巡行時間に合わせて沿道は混雑するため、見やすい場所は早めに確保しましょう。荒天時は開催内容が変更になる場合があるため、事前に太田市の公式情報を確認してください。
