Hilltop Park with Sengoku-Era Castle Ruins Overlooking the Town
About this spot
The ruins of a castle built by Takeda clan retainers during the Sengoku period are now maintained as a park. While the castle structures no longer remain, traces of the fortifications and earthworks can still be seen. From this small hilltop, you can overlook the town of Shimonitta and the surrounding mountains. It's an ideal spot to experience local history while getting some exercise during the cool morning hours.

こんにゃくの名産地・下仁田町ならではの、こんにゃく料理を主役にした夏祭りです。2026年は8月14日の正午から20時20分まで、下仁田こんにゃく手作り体験道場の広場を会場に開催され、12時の開始と同時に屋台が営業を始めます。刺身こんにゃくや田楽、こんにゃくを使った創作グルメなど、この地域ならではの食べ歩きを一日中楽しめるのが最大の魅力です。日が傾くにつれて広場には涼しい風が吹き始め、家族でのんびりと屋台めぐりを楽しむのにちょうどよい雰囲気になります。
Tips
屋台は12時の開始と同時に出店されます。長時間の滞在になるため、日中は日陰やレジャーシートでの休憩をはさみながら過ごしましょう。荒天時は開催内容が変更になる場合があるため下仁田町の公式情報を確認してください。
