2026年のよさこい祭りは8月9日(日)から12日(水)まで4日間、高知市中心部の追手筋本部競演場をはじめ市内各所の競演場・演舞場で開催されます。初日となる今日は、全国から集まった200近いチームが、鳴子を手に「よさこい鳴子踊り」の曲に乗せて次々と目の前を通り過ぎていきます。衣装や振付、地方車の飾りつけはチームごとに個性があり、伝統的な和の衣装から現代的なパフォーマンスまで幅広いスタイルが楽しめます。追手筋本部競演場は最も大きな会場のひとつで、審査本部も置かれる祭りの中心地です。夏の夜風の中、鳴子の乾いた音と歓声に包まれる時間は、この4日間だけの特別な体験です。

Tips

会場周辺は祭り期間中大規模な交通規制がかかるため、公共交通機関の利用がおすすめです。沿道は早い時間から場所取りが始まるので、良い位置で見たい場合は16時台には到着を。ベビーカーでの見学は人混みで動きづらいことがあるため、後方や広い交差点付近が安心です。荒天時の開催可否は主催者の発表を確認しましょう。

About 15 minutes by car from Kochi Castle. The garden has slopes; wear comfortable shoes. Summer sun is intense—hat or parasol recommended. For shorter visits, focus on the greenhouse area.
