About this spot

A marketplace gathering Tokachi products, adjoining the Obihiro Racecourse (帯広競馬場). Vegetables, dairy products and processed goods delivered from fields and ranches are lined up, and just looking at the shelves tells you what the land of Tokachi produces. For children, it becomes a place where they can see with their own eyes where the food they always eat comes from. There are also places to eat inside, so anyone who wants a light meal can have it here. If it is a race day at the Banei Horse Racing Track next door, you can watch huge horses pulling sleds in a form of racing found nowhere but Hokkaido.

Tips

Check opening hours and closed days in advance. Banei racing is held only on limited days, so look up the schedule before you go if you want to see the horses. A cooler bag is reassuring if you buy fresh or dairy products. Buying the snacks for the afternoon water play here keeps your luggage in one bundle.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 10 minutes. Right after opening it is uncrowded and easy to browse.
