Matsugaike Park (Shiro-tsutsuji Park) Stream / Fountain
About this spot
The Matsugaike Park (Shiro-tsutsuji Park) Stream / Fountain is a free water play area in Matsugaike Park (Shiro-tsutsuji Park), Nagai City. Within grounds of roughly 6 hectares runs a shallow stream where children can play in the water, while a pond with a fountain and a waterfall create a cooling scene. Playground equipment and a lawn plaza are in the same grounds, so when children tire of the water they can move to the equipment, and when they tire of that they can rest on the lawn, keeping on playing at their own pace. Because it is large, people spread out easily, and being able to spend time without worrying about crowds is welcome too. True to the name Shiro-tsutsuji Park, it is also loved as a park where white azaleas bloom in early summer. Use is free, so a short stop works just as well.
Tips
The opening period has not been announced. In most years the water runs during the summer holidays, but please check the operating status before you set out. To avoid cutting your feet on the bed of the stream, footwear with soles such as water shoes is recommended. The grounds are large, so parking near the water play area makes getting around easier. The pond with the fountain is not for water play, so keep the playing to the stream. For children not yet out of diapers, please bring swim diapers.
Best time to visit
About 2 hours 45 minutes. The afternoon, when the sunlight softens, is recommended, and the lawn in the evening feels pleasant with the breeze
